New in - Prada

IMG_7174.JPG

My latest purchase is this Prada leather bag. I’ve been wanting a white bag for a while but haven’t been able to find one that felt right. I’ve also been looking at the white Cleo bag but I decided to go with this one and haven’t questioned my decision once. This is such a great complement to my current little bag collection and it feels so fun and fresh with a white bag for spring! What do you guys think of this one? x

Blazer - Here ( I’m wearing size 40)

I always get asked a lot of questions about great basics and how to think when building a curated closet. Therefore, I thought it would be fun to start a “wardrobe favorites” series, where I will show you and talk more about my favorite must have pieces.

First up is my absolute favorite in my entire closet, the blazer. This one I wear several times a week, no matter what season it is. Above you can see how I style it for everyday wear, it makes any outfit look more put together and sophisticated. I think that you can basically put a blazer on top of everything! I do not only wear my blazer during regular weekdays, on weekends I layer it on top of dresses and pair it with heels or boots for a more dressed up look!

I prefer my blazer a bit oversized, this one I have in size 40 which I think is perfect for me. For reference, I’m usually a size small! Quality is also great, I’ve had mine for over a year now and it does still look great! x

Coat / Scarf (similar here) / Boots / Hat (sold out) / Denim / Celine bag

Matching the snow with my new coat - I love this coat so much and it feels like a great complement to my black coats. It’s a bit thin and probably better for spring and fall, but I wore 4 layers underneath and managed to stay very warm! Being cold is one of the worst things I know, so I always wear many layers, warm wool and cashmere scarfs and socks is the key! x

Denim / Hat / Turtleneck / Jacket / Earrings / Boots / Bag

Here’s a cute winter look that I would love to wear. I’m thinking about buying this jacket, it might be a little cold for Stockholm weather right now but with a lot of layers it could work! It will most definitely be a great jacket to wear once it starts warming up again. There are no words for how much I want spring right now, anyone with me? x

Ligne Roset Togo Chair

Guess if I got very surprised and happy when I got this chair from my boyfriend for Christmas? This chair has been on my mind for a while and I think most of you have probably seen it on instagram. It was designed in 1973 by Michel Ducaroy and it’s one of those very iconic and classic pieces.

We bought our new apartment a month ago and that’s where the chair will be going. The process of picking color and fabric has been a bit difficult but I think we made the right decision! I love neutral colors, beige and white but decided to go with a bit darker color for this one. It’s a muted and earthy green/greyish color that will fit very well with the rest of the apartment. The demand on the Togo has been very high lately and the delivery time is 14 weeks but I’m so excited and can’t wait for it to arrive! x

A look into my bathroom cabinet, I’m very picky with both my skincare and perfume. When it comes to perfume I don’t like when it smells too distinct or much. I want my scents to be a mix of feminine and masculine! My go to scents right now are Armani Gardenia Antigua & Byredo Casablanca Lily.

My skincare is 99% La Mer, I have very sensitive, acne prone skin and break out very easily. I would say that almost everything gets my skin to break out, but after trying a lot of different products I have a couple of favorites. The Cleansing Micellar Water is what I use to remove my make up, it’s very gentle and nice. Another product that I couldn’t live without is the Crème de la Mer, it’s very rich and great on my dry skin! x

Coat / Denim / Knit

One of my favorite places to visit while I’m in Paris is Palais Royal. It’s such a beautiful and peaceful place to come to! My favorite cafe, Cafe Kitsune is also located inside the park and I always get my matcha there. They also have amazing pastries, try the lemon cake, it’s my favorite. Sometimes I sit outside the cafe on their chairs and sometimes I order to go and sit somewhere in the park. It’s definitely one of my favorite things to do when I’m in Paris! x

Trousers / Turtleneck / Bag

These are really great pieces to build your wardrobe around. Trousers are great for everyday wear, I can pair these with literally everything in my closet. I also really like the fit on these, a bit loose and wide! This turtleneck is made out of 100% cashmere. I always recommend investing in cashmere and wool, not only because it looks nicer and feels softer. It does also keep you a lot warmer compared to synthetic materials!

Denim / Blouse / Knit

This look might be a bit too cold for Sweden right now but might work in some other warmer countries. These jeans are also a big favorite of mine, I think the dark grey color is so perfect. I have these jeans in the wide fit as well! The blouse is definitely one of the more “interesting” pieces in my closet because I usually don’t wear a lot of prints. However, I think this one is so timeless and simple even if it has the toteme pattern.

Coat / Denim / Scarf / Blouse / Bag

My favorite coat, I’ve been wearing this one so much and I love it a lot. The length and the fit is so exactly how I want it and I love to wrap a matching scarf around my neck on the colder days. This coat is also very versatile and is easy to layer on top of knits and shirts! x

key pieces

Namnl%25C3%25B6st.001.jpg

turtleneck / bag / dress / boots / leather pants

one of the most common questions that receive is to show great key pieces. Every season I always build my style around a couple of hero pieces. This season it will for example be leather trousers, a cashmere sweater and boots. These are also pieces that I think is worth spending a little extra on, and go for something with better quality. A wool or cashmere piece will not only look better, it will also keep you warmer and last longer compared to something synthetic. I personally love all of the pieces above and think it’s a great start in order to build a timeless and classic wardrobe! x

pants / top / converse

This is a very cozy and comfortable look that I wore the other day. These pants are a wardrobe hero and a favorite piece that I find myself wearing over and over again. The sweater is new and made out of 100% cashmere, I love it so much. I’m so happy to be back here on the blog since I finally feel a bit inspired again. I think these past months has been a bit weird for all of us, and I haven’t really felt like myself. However, I’m very ready for fall and to share more of my thoughts and inspiration with you guys here! x

a selection of favorite moments from this summer, when the weather is nice, there’s truly nothing that beats swedish summer. I can’t wait to see what these following weeks has to offer, I will probably go to the country side and spend some time there with my family. I’m really enjoying this slower way of life and not being able to travel like I used to! I hope you guys are doing well and enjoying the summer so far. x

being active and feeling good

Leggings (my all time favorites) / Top

I have finally started to work out again and it feels really good. The past years I haven’t been very active at all. When I grew up I was really into sports, I was more like the boys and loved to play with balls and compete in everything. I played handball for 6 years, I also played tennis and golf for a while. However, since then I’ve had periods of being active and going to the gym but I haven’t had a routine that I’ve enjoyed. It’s been something that’s been feeling very forced, I’ve been going to the gym because I forced myself and I didn’t really enjoy it to be honest. So I quit, because I will simply not continue doing something that I don’t enjoy or feel good doing.

For the past 4-5 weeks I’ve been following a new routine, it’s very simple but it’s something that I really enjoy! I don’t think working out really needs to be so complicated, it’s just about moving your body and being active. First of all I have set a goal to walk at least 8000-10000 steps each day which fits very well into my life since I go on several walks with Penny every day. Depending on the day I will also do a 30-50 minute workout at home, I know there are so many different programs online but I have been using AloMoves and it’s been working very well for me. There are different kind of classes like fitness, pilates, meditation and yoga from beginner to advanced level.

For me it’s been important not to push myself too much. It needs to be something that I enjoy because if it isn’t, I won’t do it. Don’t set goals that you know that you’re not going to reach, start out easy and then as it goes you can add on more. The other day I went out running for the first time in years, it’s was the shortest run but I managed it and that made me happy. Next time time it will probably be a little, little easier and in a month maybe I can do it without a struggle. Just have fun with it, start out with your partner or a friend - challenge each other, start out with working out 1-2 times a week. Find a balance that fits you and your life!

My last little thought, something that has been making me more motivated is great workout clothes and equipment. I have a really nice yoga mat and resistance bands from Abilica that I love so much hah, puts a little smile on my face every time I roll it out! x

black converse high tops / black converse low tops

My favorite shoes right now are definitely sneakers, surprise surprise. Since it’s very important for me to be comfortable, sneakers will always be my first choice. As you have probably seen on my Instagram, I’ve been gravitating a lot towards my converse lately. I love converse because it’s probably one of the most classic shoe out there. I wore them a lot when I was younger and I think it will be something that I will continue to wear throughout my life.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding which style I wear. I have the classic Chuck Taylor all star high tops as well as the low top. I find it hard to choose between them but if I had to, I would probably go with the high tops. x

small brands to support

Sk%C3%A4rmavbild+2020-04-02+kl.+00.34.47.jpg

REFINE evolved from the desire to create the perfect slip dress concentrating on fit and quality. I love the entire collection, every piece feels very timeless and luxurious. Right now, REFINE will donate 10% of Spring20 Drop 1 to its northern Italy factory workers supporting payments for their groceries, medicines and other necessities during covid-19 outbreak.

I fell in love with Tove Studio when I saw their first lookbook and my love has grown with every collection. The brand creates timeless clothing that balances modernity and femininity. I have this dress from their collection and it’s definitely a favorite.

Viktoria Chan is one of my favorite Swedish designers. The design is minimalistic yet interesting with unique cuts and details. I’ve a couple of Viktoria Chan pieces in my wardrobe and these are pieces that are very timeless and will stay with me for a long time.

Best of New York

During Fashion Week I was happy to take some time off to enjoy the city. Since I moved away there has been a lot of new, great places opening up that I've been wanting to visit. I still have to agree that there’s no other city in my opinion that has this kind of amazing food everywhere. Here's a small list of some of my personal favorites, old and new in New York.

Pasta and Ricotta Toast at Misi
Chocolate Cake at la Mercerie

TOP / BOOK / BAG / SHOES / PANTS / PARFUME

Here are some pieces that I would love to wear or have at home. The slippers has been my favorites for a while, I’ve been wearing them at home these past months. One of the worst things I know is to be cold, so for me it’s essential to keep my feet warm. During quarantine, I’ve been living in my sweatpants and I guess I’m not the only one… but for some reason, I only own one pair so these white ones might be a great update to my quarantine wardrobe! x

staying in

IMG_1324.JPG

I hope you’re all healthy and safe out there. The situation is very difficult but we all need to stay strong and we need to listen and follow the recommendations that we are given. Here in Sweden we are not in quarantine, however, I’ve spent most of my time at home for the past 1-2 weeks. Only going out to get my groceries or to support local restaurants and cafés close by. I’m definitely a person that enjoys being at home, so staying in has not been too difficult for me. I’ve cleaned out my closet, cleaned out the entire apartment, I’ve cooked and baked a lot and also practiced some meditation and workouts from home. I hope you are all doing and feeling well, try to take this time to take care of yourself and do things that you enjoy x

SUNGLASSES / PANTS / SWEATER / SHOES / HAND CREAM / BAG

I've been feeling very into these kind of casual looks lately. For me it's so important that fashion is both functional and comfortable. Lucky me, that the sneaker trend seem to be going strong! Also, I just posted these sneakers on my Instagram and have received so many questions about them. So I thought I could answer them here as well, the brand is New Balance and the model is MR530. Unfortunately, I’ve heard that these are impossible to find right now because they are sold out everywhere. x

Paris with Hermès

IMG_5426.JPG
IMG_5149.JPG

I spent 24 hours in Paris with Hermès during the launch of their cosmetic métier, Rouge Hermès. The collection consist of lipsticks in 24 shades, matte or satin finish. Each shade has carefully been curated from the brands archive of leather and silks.

I’m usually not the girl wearing very colorful lipsticks or colorful makeup at all. However, I did kind of unexpectedly fall in love with the shade “orange boîte”, which is the same orange shade as their orange boxes.

Anyhow, I had the best time as usual when Hermès are hosting. Always feeling very spoiled! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Hermès Beauty and what other products that might be launched in the time to come. x
